Pagan Lesbians? No, they’re chicken mcnuggets. I like Satan Was a Lesbian – a Drag King too apparently. Good to see Patricia Highsmith’s excellent novel The Price of Salt (first published under the pseudonym Claire Morgan) – there’s nothing pulpy about it.
You will be happy to know that I can’t think of a single thing to say about lesbians, pagan, Christian or Wee Frees.
However, I did want to tell you all that I went to see “Collateral” last night, and it is terrific! Loadsa’ crash, bang, wallops, but, with superlative acting, not least from the support roles. The film is cut in the best, Hollywood, slick manner the keeps the action moving so fast, you can’t dwell on the improbabilities. And the script is as dry as my very own dry martinis – which are the best in the world! Go see!
More important, and as a peace offering to our host, I saw from the trailers that there is a film due out called “Man on Fire”. The hero’s name is Trasker, I believe, who is straight out of the Jack Reacher mould – PG knows who I’m writing of. If it is half as good as the original ‘pulp fiction’ story, it should be a corker! Warning: The lead is played by Denzel Washington, a good actor (and a superb Don Pedro in ‘Much Ado…’), but I’m not sure that he is one of life’s really mean, hard men.
Still, ain’t movies great these days, I have sudddenly re-discovered them? Sorry to be such a bore!
