How did she end up on her own? You have to be very near the front or the back for that.
You know, that’s a good question. I definitely wasn’t in front. I wasn’t *that* far in the back, either. And I don’t remember ever being alone.
My guess is that this was taken (by one of the official race photographers) during a stretch where they’d blocked off the right half the road for cars, and I’m straying right — just slightly over the edge of the course. The other runners are on my left. I might have been trying to pass one of them.
I’m not sure, though.
That was a very quick reply Claire. Now, how did Damian get that photo so quickly? Every time I try, I get a meaningless message about too many connections.
Oh and well done, BTW.
I sent him the photo. If you keep trying (many times) you should be able to get through. I find it particularly pleasing to spend many hours doing that — and contemplating my marathon photos — instead of working.

I must admit that I admire any physical achievement since I’m certain that if I emulated you the friction of my thighs would set my shorts on fire. Clearly, this is not a problem for you.
