I didn’t think the second word looked like “York” either, but I somehow assumed it had been analyzed by experts skilled enough to past the optical illusion by which fools like me were apt to be misled. I guess not. Though here I am assuming again (that it really does say “You.”)
The shooting is obviously extremely disturbing. It’s more disturbing than any police shooting in New York or L.A. that I can recall — five shots in the head!!! — though a few instances come close, and certainly an innocent person is just as dead if he’s shot in the chest from across the street.
It does remind me of an incident in which a Black college man was shot by a cop on his college campus because the cop thought he saw the guy pull out a gun. The gun turned out to be the shiny silver wrapper of his Three Musketeers chocolate bar. The student didn’t die, however, because he was only shot in the leg.
The student said he would have forgiven the cop if the cop had apologized (!).
I thought the top had later been found by Police, so there is no need to analyse the picture.
If someone has been shot in the head, worrying about whether five shots were used seems rather, um, superfluous?
