I hate to find myself on the same side of an argument as a po-faced foodie, but the man’s right: chocolate is a sacred thing; mixing it with orange is a sin.

You’re probably just one of those “mint & chocolate” weirdos.
Hmmmmm…orange-chocolate mints – now there’s an idea.
Actually, After Eights already do them.
Depends on how it’s done. Your generic chocolate orange stuff is not too good, but Green & Black’s Mayan Gold is what they eat in Heaven.
Not even Green & Blacks, the only British confectioner to get milk chocolate right, can make me love orange in chocolate. I don’t hate Mayan Gold, but I’d rather eat any other G&B.
Don’t like mint in chocolate either.
You are so very very wrong.
Get yourself to Israel post haste and I will take you to the nearest shuk, body-check you into a Mizrachi confectioner’s and force-feed you chocolate-covered orange peels scooped out of a big burlap sack.
I promise you: you will repent.
My wife and I bought a couple of TCOs over the holiday season, and they seemed awfully sweet; did Terry’s screw with the recipe?
Chocalte and orange? Who came up with that idea? They should be thrown headfast into a vat of melted orange chocolate and left there for all eternity.
Is this how the IDF extracts secrets from captured Hamas operatives?
In their dreams. 😉
Actually, chocolate-covered orange peel is rather special. I got some for Christmas. But it is not even remotely like chocolate orange.
Oranges are sacred too, but they just don’t go with chocolate. It’s like mixing butter and pineapple.
I agree with Gloria. Dark Chocolate covered orange peel proves there is a god. It is what I ask for whenever someone wants to get me something. I even ask for it when folks don’t want to get me something. The way I got to this blog is that I was looking for a recipe for chocolate covered orange peel. My question is do you coat a candied piece of orange peel or do you dry a peel or just cover a piece of a peel off of a fresh orange. I promise that all replies will be used for good and not evil. Does anybody have a good recipe?
