I’m not being entirely facetious when I say that it wouldn’t surprise me if in the next fifty years we’ll hear of AK47-totting gangs of chimps banging around the Congo. In the current political climate, it’s not as if the apes are lacking exposure to such weapons that can (and often are) operated by 8 yr old children.
Mark my words, the apes will rise up. It’s only a matter of bonobos, bullets and bananas.
