Surely Margaret Thatcher doesn’t want a state funeral? I mean, that would require the government to pay people to dig a hole and fill it up again.
Not if they follow the state funeral with a state cremation. Witches are supposed to be burnt after all.
A Guardian letter-writer wrote this:
Thatcher should only be allowed a state funeral if the contract is put out to compulsory competitive tender and awarded to the lowest bidder. Any offers?
