From a review entitled “Understanding Borat” on the blog The Libyan Observer:
Moreover, nowadays, when the Jewish State’s influence within the American administration is academically and historically established (The Israel Lobby, John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt) when the support for Neoconservatism that has lead to a genocide in Iraq is largely endorsed by the Zionist intellectual and ideological voice (The Euston Manifesto), some forms of anger against the ‘Jew’ should be comprehended as a political criticism rather than merely a primitive irrational outburst. This is, of course, not justifying ‘throwing Jews down the well’ but rather trying to explain from where such anti-Jewish feelings are originating.
I know PooterGeek sometimes features material of satirical intent, but I swear I don’t make all this stuff up. For a document that’s supposedly so anodyne, the Euston Manifesto is one of the most sensitive loon detectors known to mankind. Even if all the EM’s creators died tomorrow in a series of unfortunate beer barrel explosions the World would still be blessed with this precious gift. My ideological Zionist intellectual heart swells at the thought that I contributed in some way.
“Academically _and_ historically established.” (Why not give the sentence still more weight and add “mathematically”? I mean: it’d be just as true.)
“Comprehended” when “understood” would do. (“Comprehended” has an additional syllable, see? Using it in this context is like using “myself” when “I” would do.)
The passage is loony alright, but I sort of believe the guy when he says he’s not justifying “throwing the Jew down the well.” I mean: how much space do you suppose remains in the well now that the English language has been thrown in it?
A more serious question: there’s always been bad writing, but what are the origins of _this sort_ of bad writing?
The links lead to a “blogger not found” page. Zionazis manufacturing more of that consent, no doubt. The blogger in question can probably be found in a Gitmo gimpmask, being waterboarded by rabbis and prostitutes.
The blog has moved—kicked out of its home by the jackboots of derision?—and I’ve amended the links accordingly. According to its sidebar, it “will never forget Jewish terror in Lebanon”. Do they mean this?
God bless you, Rabbi Geek.
I’d like to think I would be just as sanguinely if my work was misinterpreted this eggregiously. Unfortunately, I suspect I would be smashing up furniture and swearing like a sailor.
This piece is, unsurprisingly, by wind up merchant and racist, Gilad Atzmon
